Tucked into the wooded conservation land of Deer Hill Preserve, this stunning residence provides scenic, spacious, and secluded living. The modern exterior of this home is met with similar organic materials and textures throughout the interior–like white oak and natural limestone, as well as soft, neutral colors like white, beige, gray, and black that blend together to create a warm and cozy atmosphere.
The gourmet kitchen appliances harmonize with the elevated interior finishes to provide the perfect blend of modern technology, innovation and beauty. The open concept main level aids in the feeling of coziness while creating a spacious, yet, comfortable area for entertainment and day-to-day life.
The stunning interior finishes within the kitchen begin at the show-stopping Cambria “Brittanica Warm” Quartz waterfall countertops and backsplash. The wood ceiling accents bring warmth and richly stained wood grain that allows for a beautiful juxtaposition with the alluring Alabaster Globe Pendants from Restoration Hardware.
All appliances in this kitchen are from the Signature Kitchen Suite Appliances line, a top-tier selection from the industry’s latest advances in-home technology. The standout features of the 48” range are the built-in Sous Vide, induction stove, and double ovens below. We also love the oversized custom Vent-A-Hood and the way it stands out from the Cambria “Britannica Warm” backsplash. The wood paneled fridge and freezer are separated by a gorgeous Signature Wine Fridge, allowing for easy entertainment on the main level.
The dining space and walkout raised patio are separated by Marvin’s bi-fold accordion doors which open up to create a shared indoor/outdoor space with stunning prairie conservation views. The outdoor patio features a clean, contemporary sawn sandstone, built-in grill, and radius stairs leading down to the lower patio/pool at the walkout level.
A chic little pocket office is set just off the kitchen offering an organizational space as well as viewing to the athletic court to keep an eye on the kids at play.
The walk-in prep kitchen and pantry is an organizational dream that displays easy access open shelving for your glassware & dishes, while the cabinetry provides hidden shelving for your additional storage needs.
In the capacious mudroom, the soft white walls are paired with slatted white oak, gray nanotech veneered lockers, and a white oak bench that blend together to create a space too beautiful to be called a mudroom. There is a secondary coat closet room allowing for plenty of storage for your 4-season needs.
The powder bath floating vanity is wrapped with Cambria’s “Ironsbridge” pattern with a bottom white oak shelf for any out-of-sight extra storage needs. The vanity is combined with gold plumbing, a tall splash to ceiling backlit mirror, and a dark gray linen wallpaper to create a sophisticated and contrasting powder bath.
In the great room there are 3 locally sourced reclaimed white oak beams full of character and warmth. The two twin doors that flank the 42” limestone fireplace lead to a relaxing three-season porch featuring a second 42” gas fireplace, beautiful views, and a clear cedar ceiling.
The home office also exhibits beautiful views along with a custom white oak cabinetry display. The brass Rousseau Articulating Chandelier, by Kelly Wearstler, adds to the distinctly modern aesthetic and stands out from the deep gray textured wallcovering.
A popular trend in our recent projects is the modern floating metal staircase with open treads. This staircase was custom built to fit the two-story architecture of this home, and the pinewood stairs are stained to match the white oak flooring throughout the rest of the home. The staircase also features a stunning custom brass and etched glass chandelier.
The owner’s suite displays amazing views of the scenic preserve. The reclaimed white oak beams match the owner’s bath and main level great room beams. Their character and organic make-up contrast perfectly with the 30” Tiered Drum Pendant.
The owners’ suite bathroom has so many of today’s desired amenities from a dramatic freestanding tub and large shower to separate vanities. The “Ella” Cambria countertops with a waterfall edge separate the white oak cabinetry and go perfectly with the luxurious marble flooring.
The owner’s suite closet provides direct, and convenient, access to the laundry room. We love how the matte black Whirlpool washer and dryer along with the white oak cabinetry contrast the warm white and gray tones of the Cambria “Torquay” countertops. A fun feature of this laundry room is the LG Styler, installed and ready to fulfill your at-home dry cleaning needs!
The rest of the upstairs contains four bedrooms, each with private bathrooms to ensure convenient living, plus a large bonus room serves as a playroom, media room, homework room, or a fifth bedroom.
As you head to the lower level of this Modern Two-story, you will find a space designed to entertain all ages. The spacious lower level bar displays custom cabinetry and shelving. The Cambria “Colton” Countertops are paired with cabinetry that features nanotechnology coated veneer that is mold, fingerprint, and chemical resistant.
Additional standout features of the lower level include in-floor heat for those cold Minnesota winters, a media lounge, an additional guest bedroom and bathroom, a game area, an exercise room, and a 28’x29’ athletic court.
