Scandinavian Modern Rambler

Tucked into the wooded conservation land of Deer Hill Preserve, this modern rambler Artisan home provides scenic, spacious, and luxury living. The modern exterior of this home is met with similar organic materials and textures throughout the interior–like white oak and natural limestone, as well as soft, neutral colors like white, beige, gray, and black that blend together to create a scandinavian modern atmosphere.

Take a tour as we distinguish specific details and highlights that make this home extraordinary and unforgettable.

First off this home has two kitchens: One presentation kitchen—anchored by an 11-foot quartzite island, a wine fridge, and a gourmet coffee and wine bar—and a full prep / chef's kitchen where top-of-the-line appliances like the 60-inch Wolf range, two dishwashers 36-inch Sub-Zero refrigerator, and 36-inch freezer are housed behind a double pocket door.

Open Concept Dining

Scenic views of Deer Hill Preserve set the scene for the open-concept dining area. Dining "Dot" 22" Pendants from Circa Lighting float in the center of the dining table.

Great Room

A raised ceiling with white oak slat detailing in the Great Room draws attention to the focal point of the space: floor-to-ceiling custom stonework on the fireplace.

Entryway & Staircase

A few key details make this entryway extraordinary. Natural limestone lines the wall that includes the coat closet. Lighting fixtures are the Bau Pendant 28" & 18" from Circa Lighting. The mix of modern metal railings paired with the white oak stairs and ribbing detailing make for a modern look that simply stuns.

Powder Room

The asian-inspired wallcovering in this powder room ties in the Japandi interior styling our clients were looking to add throughout this home. We also love the "White Attica" countertops from Caesarstone on the floating vanity paired with white oak shelving & storage.

Screen Porch

This screen porch is our dream grilling spot with a Wolfe natural gass grill and outdoor range hood, along with custom built-ins for all of your grilling accessories and venting system to grill comfortably all year long. The continuation of the natural limestone firepalce and the wood ceiling details from the interior of the house is pure perfection. We also love the paint color selected for the screen porch walls; Sherwin Williams' "Grizzle Gray."

Mudroom & Canine Suite

No need to worry about muddy boots and paws tracking through the home after a day of adventuring with four-legged family members. Step through the four-car garage into the rear foyer, complete with a bench, hooks and lockers, and a canine suite, featuring multiple dog kennels and cabinet space for supplies.

Home Office Breezeway

When designing the original floor plan and architecture for the Scandinavian Modern Rambler our clients really wanted an indoor breezeway on the main level, so we created an indoor breezeway that doubles as a home office with scenic views and large windows from both sides of the breezeway that connects the main level and the primary suite.

Primary Bedroom Suite

This primary suite is naturally tranquil. Details we love are the ribbed white oak detail on the custom built-in bedframe and vaulted ceiling. In the bathroom suite we love the white oak floating vanities and large walk-in glass shower, the freestanding bathtub is surrounded by rocks that tie in the Japandi-style interior as well!

Laundry Room

If you're looking for a laundry room inspiration, look no further! With ample countertop space for sorting & folding clothes, top tier Whirlpool appliances, and an LG clothes steamer, along with a custom hanging rack for drying this laundry room leaves little to be desired. Little touches of personality are always fun to incorporate in this room, we love this painted cabinetry (Benjamin Moore "Stillwater") paired with the white oak shelving.

Guest Suite

Multigenerational living was an important consideration for our homeowners when designing the Scandinavian Modern Rambler. The main floor hosts a guest suite for a live-in family member with its own living area, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom!

Lower Level Media Longue, Billards Area & Bar

Leisure activities are put on full display in the lower level, where the homeowners can enjoy a media room and game room, with a wet bar and wine display, and billiards. Details we love include the slatted white oak accent wall, custom metal & quartz drink rail, felix veneer cabinetry on the wet bar, walk in glass wine display, and custom white oak whiskey & glassware display.

Outdoor Patio & Pool

The exterior of the Scandinavian Modern Rambler has every amenity for hosting a backyard pool party including a sunken hot tub. Other details we love include the metal spiral staircase off of the screen porch and the continued natural limestone from the front exterior and interior!

We loved hearing your feedback and overwhelming admiration of this home during the Artisan tour. This was such a special project to work on, and we are thrilled with how the interior selections and organic materials came together to create this unique and inviting home.
