Trends We Spotted at High Point Market

The Latest in Home Furnishings

We had a great time hunting for the latest trends and influences for new furnishings and accessories at the Fall 2022 High Point Market. Comfort, curves, and neutrals seem to be consistent from the trends from last year, but we've added some new spottings as well! Here is a roundup of some of our favorite pieces and the trends we think you will be seeing a lot more of!

What We Loved

Curved and Contoured Forms

Curves and more curves! Curvaceous shapes dominated every show floor with brands displaying their newest pieces with round and contoured forms along with luxe and cozy fabrics. Sofas, chairs, and sectionals designed to embrace the body with their rounded edges and circular forms were everywhere, along with circular coffee tables, lighting, and cabinetry. Look at some of our favorites.

Bouclé is here to stay!

Chairs and couches were flirting with Boucle last year, but this year we saw this fabric in full force! This white pilly upholstery was showcased with a wide range of use between formal and casual sitting, and even bedding. The textured creamy fabric wraps the many furnishings with soft curves and displays a cloud-like comfy design. There were too many examples of chairs and sofas finished with this fabric to show you them all but here are a few!

Hides & Faux Furs

Animal hides, along with faux furs, were a popular upholstery for accent chairs, tables, rugs, and benches.

Pouf Balls

There was no shortage of display on the puffy comfy poufs! It seems like every modern couch was paired with this fun pillow accessory. With so many fabric options and fun patterns, these can be a great way to add some texture & color to your space.

Gameboard Accessories

Looking for an accessory for your coffee table? We saw so many gaming accessories made out of fun luxury materials. The Fourhands showplace even had neutral & natural large games on display like an air hockey table, fooseball, and ping pong tables.

Petrified Wood Tables & Accessories

Another trend we noticed was the increase in petrified wood tables and accessories. A perfectly modern accent piece for your entryway table or open display shelving. How beautiful are these dining tables down below on the right? We definitely see our clients incorportating this trend in the future.

Green Accents Everywhere

The color green was popping off everywhere throughout our Market tour! We love the warmth this color brings to a modern space filled with lots of neutrals & naturals.
