The Marblewood Residence
A Traditional Two-Story Rooted in Quiet Sophistication
Nestled on a private wooded lot of over one acre in Independence's BridgeVine neighborhood, The Marblewood Residence is a home defined by intention. Every space has been thoughtfully designed to feel both elevated and livable - where organic materials, graceful curves, and carefully sourced finishes come together to create something truly cohesive.

The Language of Curves
From the moment you step inside, a recurring design language emerges - one built around curves. Rather than a single statement moment, this theme is woven quietly throughout the entire home. The great room fireplace features softly curved corners. The kitchen hood carries a subtle curve. Countertop edges throughout the main level are finished with a classic bullnose profile. Even the powder room vanity continues this thread. It's a design decision that never announces itself too loudly, but creates a sense of flow and softness that you feel in every room.

Main Level: Designed for Living and Entertaining
Great Room, Kitchen, Dining:
The main floor is anchored by 10-foot beamed ceilings that connect each living space with a sense of openness and warmth. The chef's kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining area and Great Room - a layout designed for both everyday comfort and elegant entertaining. Four Hands furniture grounds the Great Room with pieces that feel curated without being precious.
The kitchen features a standard bullnose countertop edge that quietly nods to the home's curve theme, while the subtly curved hood becomes an understated architectural moment above the range.

Prep Kitchen & Pantry:
The walk-in prep kitchen and pantry is one of the home's most considered spaces. Clay tile on the backsplash brings warmth and texture, while under-shelf lighting makes the workspace as functional as it is beautiful. Two windows - one that looks down into the athletic court below and one that showcases the sunroom - allow natural light to pour through, making this a space that feels connected to the rest of the home rather than tucked away.

Home Office:
The private home office carries its own personality - finished in a rich Tonester paint from Portola Paints, with glass inserts featuring a narrow reeded detail that reappears throughout the home, tying the levels together in a way that feels deliberate rather than coincidental.

The Sunroom: Every Season, Every Light
A natural stone fireplace and an abundance of windows make the sunroom one of the most inviting spaces on the main level. The windows shared with the pantry allow light to travel between the two spaces, creating a connection that makes both rooms feel larger and more alive. Designed to be enjoyed year-round, this space reflects the home's broader commitment to bringing the outdoors in.

The Powder Room: A Small Space, A Strong Statement:
The powder room espeically is where the design is in the details. Roman clay walls in La Catedral from Portola Paints bring a rich, tactile quality to the space, and a curved vanity with reeded detailing continues the home's recurring motifs. It's the kind of room that surprises in its elegant simplicity - intimate in scale but confident in execution.

Upper Level: Restful, Refined, and Considered
Upstairs, four bedrooms offer a quieter counterpoint to the main level's entertaining spaces. The primary suite is anchored by vaulted beamed ceilings and windows that frame views of the surrounding mature trees — a natural backdrop that no finish can replicate.
The primary bath is where the design team paid particular attention to contrast and detail. Demi bullnose edges on the vanity tops and cabinetry soften the space, while polished nickel plumbing fixtures were chosen intentionally as a contrast to the warm gold lighting in the adjacent primary bedroom. A freestanding tub, walk-in shower, and generous walk-in closet with a center island complete the suite.

A spacious bonus room with vaulted ceilings offers flexible living for the upper level — currently designed as a kids' lounge and game area with a walk-in closet featuring custom storage shelving. A standout pink kids' room with its own ensuite bath adds a moment of personality that feels right at home within the broader palette.
Lower Level: Built for Gathering
In the lower level of The Marblewood Residence the bar features ribbed roller ceramic tile, a finish that adds texture and dimension while maintaining the home's clean, considered aesthetic. The same ribbed detail carries over to the media accent wall, creating a visual thread between the two spaces that makes the lower level feel intentional rather than incidental.
Narrow ribbed tile — the same detail found in the main level office — appears again here in the bar backsplash, along with the ribbed detailing on the media area accent wall. The recreation room, billiards area, and full athletic court round out the lower level, offering year-round function alongside a fifth bedroom and full bath.

A Home That Rewards Attention
The Marblewood Residence is the kind of home where the details reveal themselves over time. The curves you notice first give way to the materials, the lighting, the finishes that were chosen to work together to create something brilliant.
